Meet the Trainers

Meet head Trainer, Samantha

Meet Assistant Trainer, Brenda

Samantha got her own dog at nineteen years old and was pre-med in college.  In pursuit of medical school Samantha moved to the Bay Area to get her Masters in Public Health.  During this time Lily, Samantha’s pit bull came into her life.  Lily was found after being abused and left tied to a pole.  Samantha felt an instant attraction and agreed to foster her.  Lily was so under socialized; she had both dog and human reactivity and would attack her own reflection.

Samantha began learning everything she could about dog psychology and rehabilitating dogs.  It was with the help of her dog Baloo she fell in love with the process of rehabilitating and socializing Lily and wanted to help more dogs, families, and rescues. Samantha realized that pack walks were the best way to get Lily to get more comfortable around other dogs and from this Pack Life LA was born.  Since then Samantha has worked with countless rescues to help dogs find their forever homes including Chewslife Dog Rescue, Animal Hope and Wellness and Marley’s Mutts.

Samantha has shadowed numerous trainers and attended lots of workshops to find what works perfectly for her training.  After working as an assistant trainer at Cesar Milan’s Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, California she became a lead course trainer.  Samantha taught Socialization and Mastering the Walk.  Cesar is no longer offering weekend classes but Samantha is so appreciative of the learning opportunities she had at the Dog Psychology Center.

Samantha believes there are no bad dogs just owners that need to learn how to communicate effectively for their individual dog. Majority of Samantha’s training is implementing the structure, boundaries and the right kind of mental and physical exercise to set owners and their dog’s up for success.

Brenda has been an animal lover since she was a child and always found herself surrounded by them. She got her start in the dog industry 5 years ago at a dog daycare which then sparked her passion in dog psychology. She started learning through YouTube videos and anything trainers would share on social media. Determined to use this passion to help others she enrolled in Caesar Millans fundamentals course at the Dog Psychology Center. Afterwards she shadowed Samantha and fell in love with her philosophy of training. Learning from Cesar and Samantha is when she started realizing how misunderstood dogs can be and how important it is to help spread dog psychology knowledge. She has two pups of her own named Leia and Chewie who have helped her tremendously in her learning. Under the mentorship of Samantha she continues to grow in knowledge in hopes to help improve relationships between dog owners and their beloved pups.
