Board & train
These are 1 - 3 week programs individualized to your dog and their needs. They will be included in every day life, along with my pack. Intentionally designed to help you live in a healthy, joyous way with your dog.
What is a board & train?
Board and trains are available to any clients who have done private sessions or group classes with Samantha and her team
There is no quick fix for your dog's behavior and in order to see lasting results in your dogs behavior the humans need to change their lifestyle and learn how to better lead and guide their dog. That said we understand the benefits of board and trains and your dog having the opportunity to be in a home with balanced dogs + so much more.
-
You will likely see your dog on our Instagram stories throughout the entire day! Nearly every board & train Samantha takes will also be on the membership page. Owners will receive a full debrief at the end of the program.
-
This is largely determined by what the dog needs the most work on/what the goals of the owner are. A strict schedule of work and downtime/kennel will be maintained for each dog. Outings can include, but are not limited to: beach walks, park outings, coffee shops, car rides, back yard time, and more.
-
Each dog will be kenneled when they are not being worked or on place. Unless we determine it might be better to do otherwise, they will be kenneled in the same room the trainers' personal dogs are!
-
Board & trains are a perfect opportunity for reactive dogs to be expertly worked around their trigger. Our trainers are highly skilled and experienced in working with reactive dogs and will prioritize the safety of each dog. Often times, Samantha will use her own balanced pack to offer dog reactive dogs an opportunity to have structured, valuable exposure.
-
Yes! In order to make sure we are getting the best fit clients for this service we require all clients to do a private session or group class first and from there we can discuss if this service is the best or necessary fit for you and your family.

-
BEHAVIOR + EXPOSURE
We wil work through your dog’s behavioral issues by providing proper exposure and workin them through it, finding the optimal method for you both to achieve the most success.
-
PLAY +
Dog on dog: Understanding what constitutes healthy play is key to ensuring your dog is socializing appropriately.
Human: We will work to build your dog’s play/prey drive and show you how to use play to mentally/physically drain your pup.
-
BASIC OBEDIENCE
This will include commands like sit, stay, come and leave it.

PACK WALKS
Interaction (indirect) with and influence from a healthy, balanced pack can have huge benefits to any dog. If we feel your dog would benefit from it, we’ll probably take them along on a 3-4+ dog pack walk!
