How do you find my match?

Adopting the right dog shouldn't be a guessing game. Our Mutt Matchmaker package takes the stress out of finding — and raising — the dog that's truly right for your family, from that very first meeting all the way through their first months home. So often people fall in love with a breed because “their uncle had one” or some other wonderful experience but that doesn’t mean that that breed fits your current lifestyle or what you actual want vs the fairytale idea you have in your head. As dog trainers most people come to us 3 months in once the problem behaviours have started. Our goal is to work with clients to help them find their actual perfect fit for their lifestyle and family.

  • Absolutely! Considering the safety of the children and the dog is a top priority.

  • Yes. We will learn all about your current pets and determine who will successfully join your pack.

  • 2-4 weeks depending upon the dog and their needs. Trainers will evaluate the dog and give owners an estimated b&t length.

What’s included

  • CONSULTATION

    We come to you. Together, we'll talk through your lifestyle, home, and family to determine the ideal temperament, age, and breed match for your household.

  • GUIDED RESCUE RESEARCH

    We do the legwork with you — searching shelters and rescues to find a dog (rescue only) that fits the profile we build together, so you can adopt with confidence.

  • 2-4 WEEK B&T

    Once your new dog joins the program, we get to work on getting your dog comfortable and confident in the world. Focusing on loose leash walk, socialization to environment and other animals.

  • OWNER INVOLVEMENT DURING B&T

    Owner + family will join a group class during this time with your pup and, if appropriate, you'll receive private training sessions.

  • HOMECOMING SUPPORT

    When it's time to bring your dog home, we don't just hand over the leash. You will also receive in-home private session to help the transition go smoothly + one free group class after your dog comes home.

  • WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME

    To set you up for success you’ll take home 3 free months of membership access - free member group zooms, hundred of training videos, and ebook guides + 2 leashes + E-collar for off-leash training (if this fits your dog and lifestyle)
